Key Terms

LST (Liquid Staking Token)

A liquid voucher for staked tokens

LRT (Liquid Restaking Token)

A liquid voucher for restaked tokens

User

A person who restakes through or deposits into Omron

Subnet

A dedicated slot to align a group of validators and miners around a common goal. Once established, a platform/service incentivized by the Bittensor blockchain. Currently, a finite number of subnets exist, only 32, within the Bittensor Blockchain.

Omron

The Omron Rings, or EURion constellation is a pattern of symbols incorporated into a number of secure documents such as banknotes and paper checks, designed to prevent the direct counterfeiting using photocopiers or imaging software. more info...

TAO

The native currency of Bittensor. A measure of liquid tokenized intelligence.

Bittensor

A blockchain which hosts competitive digital economies. These economies can include areas such as: machine intelligence, compute power, internet scraping, and much more.

Miner

Miners contribute to this subnet by providing compute to generate output from, and prove AI model inferences. Miners receive workloads from validators in the form of input data, perform verified inferences on those inputs and respond with output along with a zero knowledge proof of inference.

Validator

Validators send public inputs of the specified model (which is deployed in deployment layer) to the miners, and verify the output and proof returned from the miners, update weights based on the verification results.

EigenLayer AVS (Actively Validated Services)

A digital process requiring external validation of function. Restaked assets are allocated towards validating these services.
